Apple & Celery Green Detox Juice

I’ve always maintained the notion that a truly tasty, healthy fresh-pressed juice makes you sing from the inside, out. This combination of ingredients really hits the spot, and is a great green juice recipe to keep as a classic “go-to” juice. The sweet apples, with the subtle saltiness of the celery, and sweet lemon tang with a kick of ginger really gives my cells the nourishment and healing they need. Oh, and the spinach? You can’t taste it, but you are reaping all of the great benefits! I love that I can flood my body with nutrients that I probably (definitely) wouldn’t get in any other meal throughout my day.

Why drink juice?

If you are a beginner when it comes to juicing, you might have this question.

Juicing is the easiest way to get your daily recommended fruit and vegetable intake. Most people will say that they wouldn’t eat 3 apples, 4 celery stalks, a cup of spinach, 1 lemon and ginger root in a sitting, let alone one full day. You can pack all of these essential vitamins and minerals into one glass and take it on the go! All of the nutrients are easily and quickly absorbed.

Benefits of Drinking Juice Regularly

Coming from someone who has juiced regularly for over 9 years now, I have personally enjoyed consuming fresh-pressed juice because of the huge difference in my skin and hair health, as well as my energy levels, sleep patterns, and ability to focus. My skin looks plump, youthful and has a glow when I’m feeding my body the right things. I have actual, sustainable energy to keep a business running, homeschool my kiddos and keep the house in order along with a million other tasks that come into daily life. I get a better, deeper sleep when I’m regularly juicing. I’m hydrated, my body is nourished, and I have a clear and focused mind. All of these benefits come, without a doubt, from flooding my body with the vitamins and minerals from fresh, cold-pressed juice. My body thrives, and I feel amazing.

Here are some of the reported benefits of drinking juice regularly:

  • Increased energy

  • Weight loss

  • Glowing skin

  • Deeper sleep

  • Increased mental clarity

  • Shiny hair

  • Strengthened immune system

  • Balanced pH and blood sugar levels

  • Decreased craving for processed food

  • Cellular cleanse and rebuilding

Green Detox Juice

If you want to nourish every cell in your body, help flush out toxins, and bring your body back to balance, I recommend trying this Green Detox Juice out! Here are the ingredients and some highlighted benefits:

Celery

Celery has powerful anti-inflammatory properties, which can help with bloating, acid reflux, acne, constipation, eczema, and other inflammation issues in the body. It is also high in Vitamin K, magnesium, phthalides, and potassium, which help promote bone and heart health, and lower high blood pressure. Celery juice is great for replacing electrolytes, and helps balance the body’s pH levels, helping to create a healthy, disease-free environment.

Granny Smith Apples

An apple (juice) a day keeps the doctor away? Our vote is YES! Apples are not only free-radical fighting ninjas, but are high in fiber, helping to combat digestive issues and maintain a healthy stomach, colon and bladder. Apples also contain phytonutrients, which keep arteries clear, lower inflammatory responses and prevent high levels of oxidative stress.

Lemons

Lemons are a fan-favorite when it comes to detoxifying the body, as they naturally remove toxins from the body and help the body absorb good nutrients from foods. Lemons are a good source of Vitamin C, helping to protect cells from damaging free radicals. Lemons are also known to support weight loss, aid in digestion, improve skin quality, naturally freshen breath, boost energy levels.

Baby Spinach

I always try to sneak spinach or kale into my juices or smoothies, as they are both nutrient-dense superfoods. Spinach is high in iron, which helps the body use energy more efficiently, and helps to prevent hair loss. Spinach also contains large quantities of Vitamin A and C. Both vitamins are crucial for hair, skin and nails, as well as healthy collagen production.

Ginger Root

This super-root can cure your nausea, support digestion, reduce muscle pain, aid in weight loss, boost your immunity, and packs a powerful anti-fungal punch! A study published in The Journal of Microbiology and Antimicrobials showed that ginger root was more effective at killing Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes than conventional antibiotics, making it a

Juicer Recommendations

I have been asked countless times what juicer I recommend for home use. You can visit our website under Blender & Juicer Guide to see what we recommend and why we love them. In short, I recommend getting a masticating juicer for best quality. If you are a more serious juice drinker and have the money, a twin-gear juicer produces the best tasting juice, in my opinion, but the masticating juicer works just fine and creates a darn tasty juice!
